We build chairs slowly, on purpose.

United Chairs started with a single chair — the Granite — drawn over a kitchen table in London and built in a friend's workshop one wet October. We made twelve. They sold in a fortnight. We've been making chairs since.

Today we are six people, one workshop, and a polite obsession with sitting. Every United Chairs piece is designed in-house, built from solid woods and natural fibres, and finished by the same pair of hands that started it.

We don't do trend-led seasonals. We don't hide cheap materials behind veneer. We don't outsource the hard parts. The collection grows by one chair a year — at most.
